Alpha

Next Touch's AI for companionship and help around the house

Alpha is a robot offered by Next Touch which features Artificial Intelligence. As a companion, she is able to recognize you and your friends due to advanced facial recognition capabilities, and store personalized data from each encounter. The combination of her memory and chat bot abilities allows her to hold relevant, interesting conversation with her human companions. By detecting shifts in a person’s facial expression and conversations, she is even able to recognize certain emotions, and change her own actions accordingly. For example, a frown triggers sympathetic condolences and a smile prompts a laugh from Alpha as well. Alpha is able understand the associations between objects thanks to her artificial neurons, technically known as capsule networks. Capsule networks are flexible, and able to learn huge pools of data at a time. The result? Alpha is able to conduct tasks as simple as identifying objects, and understanding the distance between her nose and mouth. As a household device, Alpha’s power-saving features gives her a two-month battery capacity, and she is able to recognizer her batter levels, and keep herself charged without human intervention.
